What should I wear for rafting?
During the spring and fall
Weather and water can be cool. Swimsuits, water-proof windbreakers or jackets, wool or poly-propylene fleece jackets or sweaters/shirts, and wool socks are ideal. Cotton is not recommended in spring or fall (this includes jeans and sweatshirts). When cotton gets wet, it robs your body of heat and is unsuitable for outdoor physical activity. Synthetic clothing is best. Wetsuits, as well as nylon splash jackets are available to rent at our outposts on a first come, first serve basis.
During the summer
Summer months are generally warmer and usually a swimsuit and shorts are fine. T-shirts can also be worn for protection from the sun, as well as a baseball cap and sun glasses. Please remember to wear sunscreen.
Shoes
Shoes are required for all of our rafting trips. Tennis shoes or sandals with a heel strap are allowed. NO FLIP FLOPS PLEASE.
After your trip
Bring a dry change of clothes, shoes and a towel for after your trip. Please bring any medications you might need on hand for the duration of your trip. If you wear glasses attach them to sting or a strap. If you bring a camera, make sure it is waterproof.
Please do not bring
Do not bring anything you would want to risk loosing in the river forever - car keys, wallet, expensive jewelry, expensive cameras or watches. Changes of clothes and book bags should be kept in your car. Your car keys will be safe with our staff in the outpost.

Low or high water
