Camp Home Details FAQ Registration
MAG Provides
The majority of the gear and equipment for the adventure is provided. This includes tents, backpacks, ground pads, bicycles, and all technical gear. Campers may bring their own equipment, but the staff will evaluate the appropriateness of personal gear on the first day.
What not to bring
Help us promote camp values and safety. Please do not bring snacks, candy, gum or other foods (we will have plenty of snacks and fruit for the trip!). Also, do not bring fireworks, knives of any sort, hatchets, shovels, inappropriate comics or magazines, cell phones, I-Pods, CD players, expensive cameras, hair dryers, or electronic games (we will lock in office during camp).
Campers are hard on clothes and gear, so inexpensive is best! Remember, small and lightweight are best for hiking. In the outdoors, avoid cotton for warm layers, hats and some of your shirts, socks and shorts! Synthetics dry and stay warm better than cotton.
We know that parents want campers to return home with all of their belongings! Everyone will have similar looking gear…..so PLEASE MARK EVERYTHING clearly with a sharpie. Despite our best efforts, campers occasionally lose things. Please talk to your camper about the importance of keeping up with his or her belongings!.
We recommend that for airline travel, bring a day pack with a change of clothes, prescriptions and anything your camper might need for the first few hours or night should your camper's checked duffel arrive late. Cell-phones and music player are great for travel, but will be held in the office during camp.
Available in camp store Waterproof cameras, sunscreen, fleeces, water shoes, t-shirts, ball caps. (CS) means available in camp store.
