Mountain Adventure Guides has guided many thousands of clients in western North Carolina. MAG holds commercial outfitter and guide licenses with the United States Forest Service, Pisgah National Forest - Pisgah, Appalachian and French Broad Ranger Districts.

We require that raft guides be at least 19 and have finished a year of college, and that you have experienced whitewater rafting, kayaking or canoeing prior to applying. Adventure camp guide positions are extremely rewarding AND demanding - full on 24/7 for 7, 14 or 18 days with a few days off between sessions. Well rounded outdoor experience with solid backpacking and wilderness skills. Position filled for 2008 We're looking for a committed/responsible college student with the following characteristics: strong people skills and work ethic, a great attitude, friendly, a sunny disposition, have stellar references, and have a high moral character. Their duties would include: assisting the program director in the daily operation of camp, inspecting camp facilities, cleaning, and driving. Qualifications: At Least 21 years old, have two years college credit, a valid drivers license, and have demonstrated leadership skills. Job duties would include cleaning, helping in the retail store, cooking, driving, and helping with the day to day operations of MAG. Qualifications: Must be 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Base We’re looking for someone responsible and able to prepare meals for 40 campers. Duties would include shopping, cooking, cleaning, and organizing. Qualifications: Must be 18 and have a valid driver’s license. Photographer: Position filled for 2008 (Internships are also available if needed for college course work) We're looking for seasonal, committed/responsible guides with strong people skills, a good attitude and a willingness to provide our clients with a great day on the rock. You should lead traditional multipitch to 5.10 and have at least 4 years of personal climbing experience. We require rock guides to be at least 21 years old and WFR/CPR certified. We require that you have previous experience guiding for at least 2 seasons in WNC and have completed training with NOLS, Outward Bound and/or climbing courses in a University we know.
