The French Broad River is an exciting whitewater rafting adventure that will thrill adventurous first time and experienced rafters alike. It can be and bodacious after heavy rain or technical and complex at normal flows. The French Broad River is the favorite whitewater rafting trip for vacationers to the Asheville, Lake Lure, Black Mountain and Burnsville, NC region.

The 5 mile half day trip with lunch offers wide, open channels, beautiful mountain vistas and fun, splashy class II and III rapids - perfect family rafting fun! We will stop to take the leap into the river at JUMP ROCK and swim at SWIMMERS RAPID. Our French Broad River trips include an after trip snack. There are many class 2 and 3 rapids, such as Pinball, S-Turn, Stack House, Sandy Bottom and Ledges! At average summer water levels, expect to spend about 5 hours with us, including outfitting, safety talk, shuttles and river trip. Please note: higher water trips in spring or after rain can be much faster.
