Camp Home Details FAQ Registration What to Bring
Emphasis is on mastering basic outdoor skills and having fun! Activities include camping, hiking, caving, whitewater rafting, rock climbing and mountain biking. No experience is necessary and we provide all of the major gear. Just bring a good attitude and willingness to spend time outdoors trying new things!
Dates for BR 2 ages 14-17: June 15-July 2 and July 6-July 23
Day 1 – welcome to camp!
Day 2 – rafting Lower Nolichucky River (class 1-2)
Day 3 – rafting and ducky trip, Watauga River (class 1-2)
Day 4 – whitewater rafting and ducky trip French Broad River (class 2-3)
Day 5 – whitewater rafting Nantahala River (class 2-3)
Day 6 – whitewater rafting Ocoee River (class 3-4)
Day 7 – mountain biking
Day 8 – day hike Blue Ridge Mountains and Sliding Rock
Day 9 - introduction to rock climbing
Day 10 – whitewater rafting Big Pigeon River (class 3-4)
Day 11 – caving trip
Day 12 to 16 – backpacking Blue Ridge Mountains
Day 17 – whitewater rafting Nolichucky River Gorge (class 3-4)
Day 18 - farewell!
Cost is $1890
Activities are age appropriate and include comprehensive instruction. Prior experience is not required and MAG provides all major camp gear.
