Learn about the State of Franklin, the first attempt of statehood after the American Revolution; and the Emancipator, the first publication in the country solely supporting the abolition of slavery. 4th Annual Tartan Day Festival sponsored by USA Raft

We are proud to be sponsoring the 4th Annual Tartan Day Festival in historic Jonesborough, TN. Tartan Day is a celebration of Scottish heritage. Jonesborough’s wonderful history makes it a perfect vacation destination as you travel in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Friday, April 9th will kick off with a great concert/Contra Dance at 7:00 PM at the Jonesborough Visitor's Center with music by Sigean.

Saturday April 10th, starts with sheep herding, Highland Cows, music by the ETSU Celtic Band, Jericho Highlanders, and Joseph Sobol and Friends. Lots of Scottish food and vendors, face painting, and Kid's games by the US Army, Celtic Story Telling by Joseph Sobol, crafts and Best Legs in a Kilt....Rain or Shine, hopefully lots of Sun-Shine

Sunday April 11th, come rafting with USA Raft on the nearby Nolichucky River.
